bigger and better than ever.
My Body My Festival 2026 raised a whopping $28,606 for the DC Abortion Fund. Despite the endless occupation of our city and the never-ending attacks on abortion access nationwide, we came together for a night of music, joy and keeping our neighbors safe. (Also, despite the anti-abortion protesters who showed up outside the venue – thanks to the 9:30 team for their beautiful handling!)
And now, some Oscar acceptance speech style thank yous are in order:
Thank you to Alex Hamburger of Burger Sounds who founded My Body My Festival back in 2023 after the Dobbs ruling and has been a huge part of what it is today. Thank you to Noise for Now, for your partnership in making MBMF 2026 festival bigger and better than ever. Thank you to 9:30 Club for hosting us and for your support throughout the night.
Thank you to our fantastic performers for an incredible night of live music: Cherub Tree. Bartees Strange, Yaya Bey, Nourished By Time, and Hamilton Leithauser. The legacy of artists advocating for bodily autonomy and abortion access lives on. Deakin was not able to perform due to a tragedy involving a close friend. Our thoughts are with him during this time.
Thank you to Studio Four & Jade Hurley for the beautiful My Body My Festival website, Chelsea Kelly for bringing the MBMF brand to life every year, and to our photographer Jamie Sandel for capturing the night. Thank you to our amazing DCAF staff and volunteers for making these events possible!
Thank you to our sponsors, National Network of Abortion Funds and DuPont Clinic as well as our friends of the fest: Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center, WPFW 89.3 FM, People's Book, EC4DC, Free DC, Bodily Autonomy Working Group, Home Rule Festival, CapitalBop, All Things Go Festival, 730DC, and The 51st.
And the biggest THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the show who DOUBLED our 5k fundraising goal and raised $10,600 at the show!
We love you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
